Here is a 7"H x 7"W golden amber covered glass dish showing a proud lion on its lid. By Imperial Glass ca 1950s-70s with their logo imprinted in center inside dish. Taken from an Atterbury Glass design of the late 1800s. This lion dish was previously posted in clear glass on CW @8 yrs ago, I thought it would be enjoyed in this golden color to showcase the lion

He's beautiful by the way, he's just like the stone varieties you see outside buildings, he's so regal and proud. :)

I know you have an Aug BD but I like to put the sign tribute in once it changes, you are lucky to have such a proud & noble wild cat as your astrology symbol I think the whole world loves lions :) He does have that sphinxlike pose you find outside buildings, great observ as always

Thank you MrsT for the great praise and I agree, the scalloped or ruffled edging around the bowl is very unique & pretty. Wonder if they intended this for use at the dinner table, I really think it's too fancy for that don't you
