I'm back with something unusual today. I was tidying my jewelry closet today and I came across this necklace I bought at a car boot sale a few years ago and I hardly ever wore. I searched the net and found out that it looked pretty much like Native American pearl necklaces. There's no mark and I can't tell what it's made of. The pearls are rather light and are strung on a silver-coloured chain. The necklace is 20 1/2 inches long and each pearl is about 5/8 inches in diameter.
Any help identifying this piece would be much appreciated! Thanks in adance! ;)
Very pretty pearls, love their soft silvery glow, nice find
Thanks Jenni! Have a lovely weekend... ;)
Thank you so much for your expertise, Val!
This clasp has been driving me nuts... But I'm glad to know about the approximate origin of the necklace. I first thought it was from Viet Nam or Thailand...
Yep, we were online almost at the same moment... The magic of CW! ;) I went to bed far too late last night, scrolling through internet pages to find pictures of Navajo and Mexican necklaces... I must be a little crazy! ;D
Val, I do have simichrome polish. I'm going to clean the necklace and I'll post a new picture when it's done!
Val, being a collector is definitely a vocation! ;D
Thanks again for your interesting comments and precious advice. Now, the mystery is at least partially solved...
