The subject of this post was really intended to be the wonderful tool that is the CLAUSS scissors/shears (#330) but when picking out the photos I realized that the wooden ruler (which was otherwise just handy) is probably the "star of the show" instead.
Advertising the CANNON SHOE STORE (now long gone, I don't know offhand if its building remains downtown?) it is likely most notable because it also bears several ink stamps identifying it as once used at/property of GIBBS SCHOOL here in My Fair City. Until reviewing these pics, I had never realized those were there on it too.

Hopefully that link will provide anybody curious more info about what that school was, (still kinda is) its history, and the man it was all named for in the first place.
Ain't it fun when any of us suddenly realize that something (the ruler) that's been otherwise hanging around in the rafters for years actually might be a slightest bit more of a "relic" than we'd ever noticed before...??? :-) :-) :-)
