I've been looking everywhere for some kind of info on this recently inherited desk. Anybody? It has w.r.a.d. on the bottom.

Look up antique typists desk The lower platform on the left is where the typewriter sat. The drawer was for paper, carbon paper forms envelopes and other supplies like staplers, paper clips etc. The upper proper (flat area) was for writing and signing.
