    funny that anytime you buy something made from glass in Italy, the seller usually claims it is Murano ;-)

    with an old lantern type lamp like this you could never be sure

    I liked the orange glass but the detailed metal work is incredible

    will get it cleaned up ASAP

    any opinions about design welcomed, from the wiring it seems to be back from the 1950s or before

      not to age myself at all...but this reminds me of the type of lights that were used in bars starting around 50's to early 60's. Believe it or not, most bar were cave like places and it was the 50's that introduce the "Lounge" -- this most likely was part of a very elegant lounge and is definitely worth keeping. Very nice.
