I think that this is a Republic period vase from China. I went to a favorite 2nd hand store yesterday and a friend who was working there said i should take a look at some stuff in a box she was unpacking. Each piece was wrapped in 1952 newspaper from Charleston, SC. This was one of them. I'll post the other two pieces now.
