New to my collection is this lighted advertisment sign. This sign is in good working condition and it appears to be from the mid 60's. The left side of the sign has a guy in a hot air balloon that say ' Bandag ' I guess its advertising something and I don't recognize the name.
Bandag is a tire retread company. Since the sign says Carling Brewing Company on the back and has a beer stein I think it is safe to say the Bandag sticker is not original. I don't know what beer the sign was made for originally. Black Label was Carling's biggest brand in the US but it did not have blue on the label.
Dr. Duke thank you for this information, I will have closely inspect the Bandag sign on this piece to see if it's a sticker or not.
Dr. Duke upon further inspection you called it right, it is a Bandag sticker and not part of Carling beer brand or advertisment. I will keep the sticker in its place.
