It's being a while since I found a piece of Jewelry the depicted a Dragonfly, we have to admit there are very popular among collector.
This is a very well made brooch, the c claps is top quality and the workmanship on this brooch is outstanding, very detailed and delicate in the same time, mark .925 + another mark that I can decipher.
This brooch is 2.25 inches wide by 2 inches long.

Alan what a gorgeous silver marcasite dragonfly it has so much beautiful detail -right now the real dragonflies abound in my yard, but truthfully I think jewelry dragonflies are much prettier!

This is so beautiful- I love dragonflies as brooches AND as insects too! They can be so calming to watch flitting over ponds like iridescent little bi-planes and yours looks like he'd be perfectly at home in a summery garden pond :)

I Have few water garden on my property, and they are just pack with dragon fly running around catching mosquito and others small insect, I am so glad there not to big, because they real predator.
