The hauls of my latest charity shop trips have a very slight eastern influence. :P
This time I found a small box with a REALLY pretty and detailed design, very similar to one I have and posted on here three years ago which I suspect this one has very similar origins and likewise has a middle eastern origin and was possibly a souvenir piece. The other item also has the look of some kind of hookah, except it seems to be styled like some kind of coffee pot. Maybe it's Turkish?
It also happens to be made from a decent quality brass(I shone it up a lot with brass-o and it came up really well. The inside was also stuffed with some kind of icky tissue paper which I had to dampen and pick out with a tweezers-that part was yucky :(
No dates, names or any other distinguishing marks or stamps on both pieces, so there's no indication as to the makers, years or locations both are from.
Total cost: €6 ($7.07/£5.40)
What elegant middle Eastern beauties Lauren, that mosaic design and the stylish pot are absolutely gorgeous! Congrats too on your skill with the brass polish, they gleam like new you're so talented

It is a Brass Teapot from India . I have one that was bought by my Mom in 1960's :-) Nice mosaic box love it
Thanks a lot Newfld!...and yeah I have to admit I love finding little surprises like this that need some TLC :)
Thanks Watchsearcher- and yeah they do really match :)
Thanks Manikin, interesting that your mom has one and it's from India? That ties in with the age I suspect this piece has
The tea/coffee pot is called an "aftaba" and is Indo-Persian in origin
I have it now she has passed it is right next to me in fact :-)
Mine had a made in India sticker on it at one time
Awh thanks for the comment Manikin, and yeah it's very interesting to note what it is and where it came from (maybe?) :)
Thanks for the interesting naming of the item Congcu!
