I am looking for some information on this clock. Belongd to my momma who passed last July. She had it for a long time, and believed it to have been from a ship but I think that was just what she thought, she purchased it at a yard sale. I have been told it's Japanese, just looking to figure out it's mystery. ty

I cannot help in the slightest regarding your questions but I have questions of my own:
Is this a huge clock lying on a table? Or is the cabinet below the clock part of the clock?
Is it electric? What are dimensions?

I hope you get some answers here....it’s a lovely clock.

Watchsearcher, it is quite large, maybe larger than an end table. It stands on a pedestal with a cabinet below the clock. I don't know the dimensions off hand. It is not electric it has a winding mechanism. :)

Can you show us the back of the clock including the winding mechanism?

I added a few new pictures.

Is there a pendulum? How do you wind it?

Congcu, that's one of several questions I have. No idea.
