    Normally I would have passed on these playing cards. I looked at the finer print and discovered they were the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway. Cool find for .99 cents.

      OH YES that's CHESSIE, and 'her old man Peake'. I recognized her immediately!!

      Chessie was the original ad campaign hit for the C&O railroad passenger service (sleep like a kitten on our trains, essentially) and soon became not only the 'trademark' of the line herself (until its official end) but accumulating her own family during subsequent years/decades after she was introduced.
