Trying to figure out what kind of knife this is. Has no brand on handle and writing on blade is worn off.

Without markings you will never answer your question. Without markings to identify it all you have is a yard sale item.
I would look for similar knives (I don't know anything about them). The cover on the handle looks like the synthetic material that was very popular on tables in the 50/60's. I think it might be called Laminex (but I am not sure). Start there and narrow down your search. Who knows, you might find one with the writing in tact and your question will be answered:) Good luck!
That wasn't the exact name of the stuff but as I recall they started using it well before the 50's. I had folding knives similar I was able to trace back to the early 40's. I've given all my knives to my son who collects them. He would know but I can't reach him right now because he is teaching a group of cadets at west point right now. I think the ones I had were made by Imperial and/or Camillus.
Great. Why didn't you say that in the first place? Are you trying to help or being negative just because?!
Sorry, Foxrider87, I will stay out of your post. I like to be positive:)
Cheers
