    Found this old Fraim lock on a bay near Leonardtown Maryland about 1971. I can’t read the patent date year. Always been curious how old it was.

      The patent date is December 15, 1908. You can look up more information on this lock by searching for U.S. patent number 907,026. The patent drawing give a view of the inside mechanism.

      There were other slight variations of this lock under the same patent. I think they were just differences in the ornamentation on the front of the lock.
