This very thin, fine set of porcelain meoto yunomi are 3.25" high and 3" high. No box, but signed on the base and hand painted. Not sure of who the maker is, still researching them. Also not certain that I have the signatures on the bases aligned correctly. I was never very good at reading hand written Japanese and have lost whatever skill in doing so that I once had. Part of a pile of meoto yunomi I have added to my collection over the past few weeks, all for under $20 each. One could make a very inexpensive hobby of collecting meoto yunomi as there are many vintage sets available for very little money.
Beautiful set, love the blue & pretty sunrise design
Thanks Jenni!
Thanks for loving my yunomi set Jenni, Kevin and Vynil33rpm!
These are beautiful Kevin.
Have you had tea out of one? I'm sure it would be a sublime experience.
Thanks Karen. I actually don't drink tea! I have no sense of smell so tea just tastes like hot water to me and green tea gives me heartburn..... I plan to brew some and use some of my yunomi, though. Porcelain ones like these are what I would use since they don't require any special maintenance.
Thanks for loving my yunomi Karen, Kevin, lizzycbw, aura, Thomas, iggy and fortapache!
I don't drink tea either, :( , but I love a hot water.
Try it!
I might try warm coffee or even warm sake! I have so many yunomi, now, that if I start trying sake in them, I might develop a drinking problem...
Thanks vcal! I have used these and they work very well!
