To post an item right side up I recommend making the horizontal longer than the vertical. Also resizing a photo smaller helps.
I have tried.. sight does not allow me too they are properly upright when photo is taken on Ipad... so sorry.
Here’s what you need to do: on your device, select a picture and “edit” it in some manner such as changing its size or dimensions. Then re-post that picture and it will be right-side-up instead of sideways.

I used to have an LG phone that took pix right side up but they posted sideways, drove me crazy. I used to flip the phone sideways & take the pix in panoramic mode, THAT worked for me. Best to talk to the apple folks about it, they probably know their products
I will look into it more. I have tried numerous times to change it. Nothing in the setting that I can find. I do use a Iphone aswell same issue. Horizontal doesn’t seem to help. It wasn’t a problem when I first started on the site and I’m still using the same technology.
