Yes more exciting Postcards! This time it is Disneyland. I am highly skilled at going to Disneyland although I have not been in several years.
Starting off is the most memorable scene in the Jungle Boat Cruise. The hippos are only dangerous when they wiggle their ears and blow bubbles. Oh no! BANG BANG. All good everyone can relax now. The Jungle Boat Cruise is my favorite ride with a good guide. It is one of the few places where Disneyland employees can ad lib. My favorite joke to steal from them is the one about Switzer Falls named after Albert Falls.
The Jungle Boats were redone to look more like the African Queen in 1993. The photo looks to be about 1970 based on fashions.
Next is the magnificent Mark Twain Paddle Wheeler which runs on a tracks. Hmmm it is 5/8 scale. I never knew that. The Mark Twain travels the Rivers of America. I do not recall the waterfall so I am having trouble dating this one. Back in the long ago this ride was a big deal but now it is usually a short line. Not the most exciting ride but it is nicely done and there are plenty of things to see along the Rivers of America.
    Matterhorn action soon to come!

I'm interested in the boat's name Mekong Maiden. Interesting considering this was probably around Vietnam War time?

Thank you very much racer4four. I think I was off on my time period guestimate. Probably pre vietnam war early 1960s. Also I noted it says Rivers of the World which was early Disneyland.

Thank you very much vynil. I had to look that up.
