Can anyone offer information about this bar?
Searched without any luck. Tested as pure and have seen others but would like some history.
    Thanks

If you tested it, you did a surface test. The only way to tell if this is actually a solid silver bar is to have a core sample taken. CI simply stands for certified ingot which usually indicates a scam where a base metal is either silver clad or plated. Beware because all that glitters isn't gold. Have it properly tested.

Thanks. Good advice. I have seen other bars with the same stamping. I am confident it is a legitimate and solid bar. I’ve had it authenticated by an expert and was assured this company produced a quantity of these bars. They are aware of many others out there but little has surfaced about the company. No doubt about the bar and it’s purity but would like to know more about the
      maker.

Not out of the US. I believe it was purchased in the late 70’s.

Why would it say "100 oz" and then "100.85" on the other side ? Who would give away .85 oz. of silver ?
    12. lugnuts lugnuts, 4 years ago
100 troy ounces would be 6.86 pounds
