Here Lisa, I hope this will work for you! The Hand Painted Royal Vienna Porcelain Plate is 9" across, and 1 1/4"high, and marked on the bottom in brown Graciosa in the center, to the upper left, a green stamped mark Z. S. & C. over BAVERIA, and to the lower right, a gold ROYAL VIENNA over a Crown, with a design, or ED under it.
The small Brass Dragon Box, has a hinged lid, and marked on the bottom MADE IN JAPAN under a Winged Globe design with KD in the center. The Box is 3 1/4"l x 1 1/2"w x 1 1/4"h after opening the 5/16" lid there's two sections the left is 7/8" x 1 3/8" and the right is 2 1/8" x 1 3/8", the inside bottom is rolled up from back to top front for sliding out the Postage Stamps, I think! :^D On each end of the Box it has a different Japanese calligraphy symbol.

HAAAA! Sound of my delight.... Thank you so much Bill.

This is wonderful added information, I had a feeling it was German or Austrian, antique, pre 1920, probably a lot older than that 1895-1900. What a good find!

The box, I was in between China and Japan, it is a stamp box with those dimensions, and the divided brass interior, or gilded copper. Export mid 20th I would guess.

      Zeh Scherzer Z.S.& Co 1880 - 1918
The firm was established in Rehau (a town in the district of Hof, in Bavaria,Germany) in 1880 by Johann Nicol Adam Zeh. His partners were Johann Michael Scherzer junior, Georg Adam Winterling, Johann Nicol Jacob junior, Johann Andreas Karl Wolfel and Johann Paulus Hertel.
In 1908 the company opened own art department. In 1910 it was transformed into a limited company (Porzellanfabrik Zeh, Scherzer & Co. A.G.). It exported over 70 percent of production to United States. Quality of Zeh Scherzer products was compared to Rosenthal or Hutschenreuther.
In 1924 the company bought Porzellanfabrik Elster located in Mühlhausen in Saxony and owned it till 1935.

In 1992 the company stopped production of porcelain.
