At the height of this humid NY summer there are tons of "buzzers" around. Here are three vintage bug brooches or pins:
Kramer (1943-1980) bee, 1 3-4", ribbed goldtone body with swirl pattern pave rhinestone wings ca 1960s
Sterling by Coro (1901-1979) fly, 1 1-2", multi color rhinestones on gold wash (vermeil) sterling silver, 1940s
Regency Jewels (1950-1970) fly, 1 1-2", faceted pink rhinestone body highlighted with aurora borealis, 1950s
just absolute beautiful stunners gorgeous jenni xxxxxxxxxxx all the very best malkey the omega man blue
So it's humid over there in NY too?!...We're all baking here in Ireland too(we even had lightening which is quiet a rarity!) Anyway, these are lovely, I especially like that bee with his little lacy swirly wings and the really long straw mouth he seems to have? Perfect for sipping from really long flowers :D
I love bug brooches Jenni and would wear these in a group anytime!
The Kramer is so amusing, the other two beautiful.
Bugs... Bugs? BUUUGGS!!!! :-D
LOVELIES!
With thanks to you all for the love

Thank you Malkey my omega man for the fabulous compliments, it is so wonderful to see you back on CW again you have been GREATLY missed. Very pleased that you enjoyed my summer bug jewelry my friend
Thanks six-0-one for the super compliments & agree these buggies are best for summer wear. I'm glad you liked the pink Regency best, it sparkles the most, also came in a light green but I loved the pink more
Thanx Lauren for the wonderful praise & it's so great to hear how NY is not the only place enduring this humidity, we are all having "bad hair days" here lol! Can't wait for the cooldown which comes in a month or two when our little squirrel friends come out in droves looking for their buried treasures (I know I have many glass squirrels but couldn't resist a really large Murano one that I know you'll like, will post soon). Yes isn't that a cool bee with his very long nose (with stinger probably!), it has stripes like a bumblebee which are the bees I am most scared of they are HUGE. We have two tall northern hibiscus flower bushes that grow close to the house, in the very early mornings before the bees wake up I go outside & clip the lower flowers & buds off so the bees will fly high & we won't get stung, I'll take the jewelry bugs anyday over the real ones :)
Karen thanks for the terrific compliments I'm very glad you enjoyed my little bug grouping! After I took the pix I realized the two flies facing each other reminded me of the original film Bedazzled with Peter Cook & Dudley Moore, where there is a funny skit with two flies talking to each other before someone grabs a bug spray can, one of my all time fave comedies
Thanks Pascale I just knew these buggies would appeal to you & so glad you saw this post, was actually thinking of you when I put this together. Mine are pretty brooch-pins but cannot compare to those in your fantastic collection, you have the most amazing bees, dragonflies, beetles etc and I love them all!
Really appreciate the love Cokeman and SusquehannaLodge, thank you so much & glad you liked my summer bug trio
Thank you for the love RichmondLori, it's very nice of you & much appreciated
Cute bugs, Jenni!
With sincere thanks for the love

Thanks so much for your kind compliment MrsT, if bugs can be cute I say, only in jewelry lol! Not a real bug fan, unless they are mini ants or ladybugs, most real bugs just scare me. These pins-brooches though were nice finds for me, and I'm glad I got to put them in a group so they can bzz each other :)
With thanks & love to Phil for the kind appreciation I'm very grateful
