What a cutie, at first I was thinking ceramic, but glass hum, this is very nice, go well with all your other critter collection, well done you.....;-)

Very sweet- I love these little creature anyway, they actually have such long twitching rodent like noses and your definitely captures that! He looks so inquisitive and bright eyed too. (We had an occasional hedgehog sneak into our garden shed and steal dogfood- they'd look like this after we'd offer some to them ....)
Oh wow Jenni, what a fantastic piece to have!
I guess you had to import this? Langham still make fantastic animals from glass and they still make hedgehogs I saw. Such a wonderful shape, cute face, and using glass frit for prickles is so clever!
Many thanks everybody for the hedgie love

Thank you Alan for the super compliments, this co often makes glass animals that look like stone or ceramic, think they are just trying to be unique. I'm so glad you think this hedgehog is a nice addition to my animal collection, & it's always wonderful to hear from you :)
Lauren yes doesn't this fella have a realistic look with that twitchy nose & lively eyes! It's so cute that you would offer some of these garden invaders food, great to have interaction with the real animals and I'm sure they are very grateful. Thank you for the fabulous comment
Thanks Leah for the lovely praise, I agree that this hedgie has a very alive look, think it is the expression in the eyes! I love the compact size as well, they also made a larger size but these can be hard to find
Thanks Karen for the wonderful compliments & yes this is one of my British imports, very rarely I find a seller from the US for this brand so I always have to be patient & wait. You're right Langham is still in business today selling reissues of earlier pieces, that's why I always try to get one with a Paul Miller signature as he started this animal line in the late 70s-90s. I bow to your fantastic glass knowledge in teaching me the word frit for the back surface of this hedgehog, as I learned spatter from you, and totally appreciate this as I'm not acquainted with many fine glass terms & always trying to learn
Thank you Cokeman for the kind love I really appreciate it & am glad you liked this hedgehog
