I believe this may be nearly as old as the house do to the fine cracking in the surface and it’s design. Any ideas of how to track down a manufacturer or even just more info on the design? Photo with my index finger for scale.
An image of the bottom would be helpful.
I added a couple more pics. Unfortunately there’s no makers mark at all.
Thrown down into the hole of the outhouse
It was found in soft, sandy dirt. No signs or evidence an outhouse might have been involved.

And did you really mean a *328* yr old house??? (that'd havta be WAY INTERESTING unto itself, if it isn't a typo?)
I certainly don't know anything to help you ID it (others here might, thanks for the xtra pics!) but thanks for showing it anyway, and WELCOME to CW! :-)
Yup! 328 year old home built 1692. Still has most of its original woodwork which I’m refurbishing by hand. We still have the cooking pot and swing arm to hold it in the main fireplace!
Napoleon drank from it and your ancestors broke the handle off so nobody else would use it. Oops ! Maybe I've been around ebay too long !! LOL !
