I pickup this pedal airplane at a garage sale. I don't know how rare there are, because I can't find another one just parts

originally mfg. in the 1940's, they were so popular that they restarted making them. The metal windshield and steering wheel indicates that it is not a very modern reproduction, but probably made in the 50's or 60's.
I love your pedal car it is so retro ! Nice find . I am not sure if it is a repro . Always wonder when they are limited edition . But it is cool at any rate :-)
Thank you for the information, the more info I get the better understand what I own.
You can still get them if you spend a lot of time trawling eBay.
Or you can trawl the over 800 entries here to find several.
Made in China for the USA and marketed by Airflow Collectables.
They were also marketed in the UK by a company that went by the name of Syot.
They also marketed a lot of the more modern Pedal Cars with there logo on.
I have a Pink one in my collection Logoed "Fantasy Flyer" and it looks very much like yours with the same screen, Wheel caps and trim parts.
I think Airflow Collectables went under this side of 2000 to 2010 .
If I'm not mistaken the logo near the rear says "SKY KING". Sky King was a very popular radio and television series that ran from 1951 through 1959.
I wonder if it did have to do with the show, I never thought of that.
The cable hang underneath is a giant spring so that when you pedal it the propeller spins. I was told they used a spring, so it would give if someone got hit by the propeller it would give a little and not be like a knife blade.
Hello. I have one too that I'd like to use for my grandson but it is missing the steering wheel. Anyone have that as a part from one ?
I agree with graumm, this is an AirFlow Collectibles repro made in China between 2009-2017. Item #3001RC 272232185682: https://www.sweetretreatkids.com/airflow-collectibles-red-sky-king-pedal-plane.html#readmore
I bought at a estate sale in 1998. It was stored in the the barn in the rafters, this is a picture of it the day I bought. I have seen the Chinese ones, they are a thinner metal and the material on the seats are cheap and there are warning stickers all over it.
That's very strange because the Authentic Murray plane with this livery wasn't called Sky King, it was the "Air Knight". In the following two examples, note the "Air Knight" text in cursive and the placement of the "Limited Edition" text over the engine exhausts.
