Thanks Karen for the super compliments & alerting me about Skippy the bush kangaroo, here in the US we never got that TV program, I checked it out online he was so adorable! I am glad you liked this Skippy dog, he is rather cartoonish but I love the ear cocked to one side and the amber glass
Rose I really appreciate the kind comment, I was lucky to find another vintage Boyd piece as they made many modern ones and reissues so was lucky to get this 80s puppy
Thanks MrsT for the great compliments yes doesn't he have a cute face, it's just very hard to take pix of some glass animals so the light doesn't obscure the detail, for example his foot is on a ball and his mouth is open, that's why I try to photograph different angles so these features show up, glad you could make them out
He's very cute- he looks like a Golden Cocker Spaniel which are the sweetest little dogs ever! :P And he's the same colour as one. His pose makes it look like he's trying to listen to a new command his owner's trying to teach him or else he's waiting for a treat!
Thank you Leah & Hoot for the kind love for this amber puppy it is most appreciated
You're so right Lauren, this dog looks alot like a golden cocker spaniel! You wonder where the glassmakers get their designs, probably from photos as dogs won't sit still long enough to pose. He does appear to be listening with the ear raised & has a very expectant look, great call! Thank you for your wonderful comment :)
