What initially drew me into the world of Schiaparelli jewelry was her use of intriguing, eye catching stones. She incorporated fascinating art glass elements into her creations not typically seen in other companies’ designs.
This was an eBay find from a few months ago. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. Fortunately for my pocketbook, I scored it for about a third of its worth. It looks so lovely when worn, particularly against the pastels of springtime. Thank you for stopping by, and enjoy! :)
I never knew she made jewellery but I know her clothes and she was so adventurous. Hugely detailed and quirky, great pockets and buttons and other accoutrements.
I can see her touch here, but such was her genius that she could make different work so well. The green and white and the slightly unbalanced shape = fab.
Gorgeous ! Nice find and a good eye for beauty and unique . Love love
racer4four, I absolutely love looking through photos of her fashions! She had a really fun and unique vision that inspired a lot of designers to come. I wish she were alive today to see her legacy!
Ms.CrystalShip, The green stones are what drew me to this! I really love the soft pastel shade with the iridescent coating. I also love the opaque white AB stones! This is one of my favorite brooches to wear during springtime!
Manikin, thank you so much! Schiaparelli creations are addictive to collect! :)
