I am so happy to share with you one of my favorite Dior items in the house: this vintage compact mirror. It was made either by or for the fashion house in Switzerland, and it features a golden, shiny brass body with a sapphire blue and clear rhinestone clasp. Shockingly and fortunately, it still contains its original presentation box and protective sleeve, both embossed with the company name in gold foil lettering.
While I have encountered Dior compacts on popular vintage and auction sites, I’ve only ever seen one other with this style of clasp, though it has clear stones instead of the mixture of blue and clear.
Can you imagine how incredibly happy the original owner would have been to receive this as a present? I bet she cherished it dearly, and I am so glad to have it in my family now. Thank you for stopping by, and enjoy!
