Don’t know much about these clips that attached to women’s clothing. I suspect that it’s of French origin because of the “Depose” mark which means registered. What time period would these have been in use and since it has a long clip bar at the back, on what part of the dress would it have been used. It measures 2” long by 1 1/2” wide. Thanks

This is an interesting piece for you Bob, I think it was during the 1950s, women wore dresses with square neckline, and would use 2 clips on each corner instead of a necklace for jewelry, or on one side instead of a brooch.
They were quite popular and today finding 2 matching clips still together is very collectible. Many of then were with rhinestones and Coro produced what they called Duettes from the 1930s.
