I have a copy of Led Zeppelin I with the sleeve being totally damaged, but the record itself is in good condition and sounds amazing. I tried to find info on it from the etching in the runoff, but I can’t seem to find any with these markings. First off, there is a capital A stamped right in the center above the hole and one part of the etching says “SLM (a triangle shape) 1966. I’m not sure if this is significant to anything, but I am curious. The font on the cover is yellow if that helps in anyway.
This is a 1984 Re-released,Columbia house record club edition
Thank you thank you! I knew the album was released in 1978, which is why I found it strange that 1966 was etched on it. Obviously it’s in reference to something else. My cover is so badly damaged that I wouldn’t be able to tell if the Atlantic record label was in turquoise. It’s a great sounding record and a classic, so I’m happy to have it in my collection. I actually have two copies of Physical Graffiti and a couple of my friends have offered to buy one from me, but I don’t know what it is. I just can’t part with either one. Partly cause I pieced both albums together from thrift store finds over the course of a couple years. Totally off topic, but thank you for all the replies! That’s a big help!
