This flashlight is the longest I have ever seen. This Bond flashlight is 27 inches long and can hold 10 D cell batteries. It does un-screw for a shorter version, using only 5 D cell batteries. Hard to get a good close up being so long. It does work with a little help.
The body is made of ribbed vulcanite. This would have been a better flashlight if the body was made from metal. Maybe made for the night watchman? Thinking 1930's? Would take two hands to operate this one, would be hard to hold with one hand and turn the switch on, with batteries in it. I only know of one other collector that has this one.
Makes a good club. I had a 4 cell Maglite. I imagine 10 cells would work even better.
It might have been better when it was new? But with a hard hit with it now - it might break. The Maglite will still hit hard 50 years from now with batteries in it! They were built strong. But I get your point. Thanks for your comment fortapache.
