It took me a while to get my head around this image at first Jenni, and my thoughts were pretty scarlet lol! She would have been pretty raunchy in 1920.
I have never seen one of these before. So cool.

Don't think I've ever see a glass person from you Jenni?! Anyway, she's definitely unique- I love the bright cerise colour she is and in her pose she sorta reminds me of a trifle? (Either a trifle IN the bowl or a trifle itself!)

Lol Karen, agree the pose is rather risque she does look quite, shall we say, relaxed :) If you look closely her tutu has buttons so although her limbs make her look nude, it is just arms & legs. I was looking for a vintage glass lady to represent Virgo and this came up, I chose the red as there has been a dearth of that color in glass animals lately, perhaps the pink glass which was another choice would have been softer? Appreciate your great incisive comment here I totally agree, my 2nd Virgo choice was a sea creature lady brooch who was discreetly topless, which also would've been controversial (for me) lol!!

Yes Lauren I totally see it, a trifle topped with whipped cream & raspberries! Thank you for the super compliments & description, do you know this dish is often described as a soap or trinket dish, so I figured just put down a generic dish for readers to decide. Red glass and red rhinestones are very hard to photograph and reproduce the red color without a pink cast, I had this lady next to a sunny window and still it has a cerise cast I must admit. You are so right this is probably my only glass person, unless you count the turquoise Mosser clown but he is rather toy-like, and I've done people in porcelain but I much, much prefer animals which to me have quite interesting differences as compared to people

Thank you Jerryboy for the cool comment & love, lol you have a possibility there, this can be seen as a rather bawdy piece and after all the design was originally from the Roaring Twenties!
