German Stein My Uncle Brought Back from WII

I’ve always thought it was cool, but was curious about where is was made? Where my uncle might have gotten it? Who are the images of that are on it? What do the markings and numbers on the bottom mean and the one near the lip by the handle.? Any info you can share would be wonderful. Thanks & happy collecting!
