These bowls are just a gorgeous group of colour.
Made by Hirota around the 70s-80s they are from a series called Colora. I don't think these were exported much and I found this group in Japan.
Apart from the colour they are pretty funkily made. The glass is very opaque and the moulding almost seems like pate de verre because it has so much grain and texture. If you look at the pics you will see that some have a different textural finish to others. The insides of the vessels however are quite smooth and glossy. The shapes themselves are very simple but most have a slightly uneven lip which gives a real handmade quality.
They are a visual and tactile wonder. All in a simple style.
Largest bowl is 24cm wide, the smaller 12cm and the cup is 8cm.
Colours u like? Me too!
That’s good Peggy!
The orange ones actually look like orange peel!
Bright & beautiful bowls would bring a smile anywhere, such joyful colors

Very nice, love the complimentary colors, happy eye candy for sure. Thanks for posting Karen.
Those colors are really fantastic
I know right? Very cool. The yellow is a perfect lemon rind too.
Glad you picked up on that Marin!
Thanks Jenni they are happy-making glass for sure. They even make my food look good!
The colours are pretty appealing I agree Eileen, and that blue is a sort of rest for the eyes after the orange and yellow.
Thanks for the love.
The texture is a big part of the appeal Sylvia. Thank you!
Glad you like them Lisa, thanks for the love.
Intense colours yeah, thanks Vinyl. They would suit your place well!
I want them ... :) They are SO cool!
p.s. I’m not soliciting to buy.
Jettabetta I didn't read it that way, and in fact did a very unattractive snorting sort of laugh!
Thanks :)
Love them, uneven is so much attracting!
So true Pascale, and thank you!
