I have a chair just like this, except it has Maroon velvet fabric on seat, the tag on the bottom was torn off.Bought it at a yard sale and wanted to find out about it.Any help you can give me would be great. Thanks
I have a child's rocker like this. I received it from my grandmother when I was born. It is noted in my "baby book". By the way, I am 70 years old. My mother and my grandmother both made needlepoint seats for it, which I removed, cleaned, and framed. Have you found out anything else? I will be glad to send you a picture. I also have several pictures of me sitting in it when I was a child.
I've got the set.
Mine is with red material . Its a knock off of the Duncan five set. But still old. Boy if you get this I'm sure interested..I'm short a few chairs.for my kitchen ..
Hi Doriaday,
I have a very similar rocker. Different cover on the seat though.
Hi Zimgirl,

Yup. Duncan Five, I remember them from the five and dime stores. Oldazdirt, do you always use rocking chairs in your kitchen? We never thought of that. Is it difficult to eat soup?
Pffffft
I have a set of chairs like this. My Greatgrandmother gave them to me. They are cherry and she did needlepoint cushions for each. She got them before WWII.
