What use is this? Any guess on the age? At one time it probably had a lid. It has some crazing and discolored places. It is 12” tall and 11” wide not including the handles. Any and all comments, guesses, or knowledge welcome.

This appears to be a "Slop-Jar", which was used for the waste water from the water bowl after sponge bathing and brushing teeth, etc............ and you would be correct that at one time it had a lid.
