Somehow, in all my years of collecting, although there have been opportunities, I've never added a Pampas vase by Loetz to my collection until now. Thanks to a collector friend from across the pond, I added two at (nearly) the same time - one in creta, and one in cobalt. Kralik and Rindskopf each did a similar decor, but what makes the Loetz version stand out are the highly iridescent silberiris fields between the applied threading. The Kralik and Rindskopf versions have muted oil spot fields that just don't have the sharpness of contrast.
Is the cobalt Pampas less common (than creta)? I love it!
Fantastic! I've always liked that decor.
