This charming piece of Victorian art glass was the happy result of a trip to one of my favourite inner city suburbs after a long absence.
It is made from pale yellow glass shading to a milky opalescence at the top. It contains uranium & produces an intense glow under UV light.
The small bowl measures 7cm tall, 9.5 cm across the crimped top rim, & has an applied footed base that takes the form of three, stylised, twisted leaves.
Looks very English to me, possibly a product of Richardsons or John Walsh Walsh.
How pretty is that amongst your lovely violets.
I love purple and green together.
Many thanks, Karen - yes, it's a favourite colour combination of mine, too!
Beautiful piece. all of your glass is exquisite.
Thanks so much, RichmondLori!
