I do believe I have everything period correct although I did fudge just a bit on a couple of service stars. That is that this is a 1965-1971 Boy Scout uniform with period correct patches. And the main point it is my first Eagle Scout uniform using my one and only Eagle Scout rank patch.
To start off there are five service stars above the left pocket (fig. 2). The yellow is for cub scouts. One service star is received for each year of scouting and a maximum of five can be worn. As this is an Eagle Scout I went with the maximum.
Below the service stars is the Eagle rank patch. The lower rank patches were rectangular and just gold with a green background and Eagle patch is oval and much more colorful.
Moving on to figure 3 featuring a Senior Patrol Leader position patch. This would the highest position in a Boy Scout Troop so it is a rank and Eagle Scout would have.
Now as for the last photo we have the Den Chief Cord on the shoulder. Also the Raven patrol patch. Also note the shirt is 1960s/1960s.
No worries still have a few decades of scout uniform variations to go through. Hmm did I get that neckerchief slide right?
So Cody is an Eagle Scout now.
Good work kiddo.
Looks good with all the patches. What is the unusual looking neckerchief slide?
Thank you very much racer4four. I am quite proud.
Thank you very much elanski. I haven't found much information o it other than it was based on a Norman Rockwell painting. But it is allowed for the uniform and more expensive then and now.
