Recently I went with a friend to Northumberland for a few days. We went around the local antique shops, we came across this necklace, which my friend bought. It is extremely well made and has age, unfortunately it has been cleaned within a inch of its life. There are no markings, but to me it has a look of Murrle Bennett, them Labradorite stones are wonderful. So my question is, could this necklace be Murrle Bennett.
Many thanks for looking.
GORGEOUS !!!.!!.!!!
Thank you, Kevin.
I think this is a newbie Jean. If you compare it to your other MB&Co pieces you'll see it's not crisp in it's design and the chain's not quite right. Also, labradorite is not used during that period. I've only ever seen it in one piece - but also not convinced it was period either.
I completely agree with you Jewels1900, I had my doubts about it be Murrle Bennett, there are no markings. The person who was selling was sure it was Murrle Bennett, on the plus side my friend got it for a good price and it is well constructed. Thank you for passing bye. Keep safe.
