I bought this necklace about a year ago for 80 euros on Etsy. I believe its an Austro-Hungarian necklace, although there's no makers mark on the clasp. Later I took it to an antique jewelry dealer, who confirmed its origin. It's gold over silver and set with turquoise stones. There was probably some enamel on this as well, but it's hard to distinguish. For me this was a very exiting find. This is the only Austro-Hungarian item I own, since these pieces are usually way beyond my budget!

Although this is no mystery item, I do have a question: what do you think about the bottom drop? The antiques dealer thought it did not match the piece, and was added later. I do not have experience with this type of antique jewelry, so I would like to hear your opinion!

Beautiful. I don't know anything about this kind of jewellery but it would be nice to see the back. It would help to answer your question:)

Don't agree with the dealer, look at the third photo, rim beading and frame match. If anything, it's the large medallion in the middle that might have been added. And all three stones seem to come from different sources. Gorgeous necklace!

Looking again, the frame on the central medallion also matches the other two frames so I would say this isn't a marriage, it is all original to the necklace.

Thank you for your comments & compliments, @katherinescollections!
@feiheit: I'm unfortunately without a proper camera so I can't take any pictures of the back. I can tell that the small bottom drop has an open back, whereas the big central parts have a floral mount at the back which is typical for other jewelry of this origin.

It would be hard to match the turquoise in terms of its 'aging'. All turquoise turns color over time and in varying grades and speeds. These look perfectly matched including the matrixes in the stones. What a find! Worth way more than 80 E
