Can someone help me identify this clock? I got it from my grandmother and really love it. The only thing I can see about who made it is on the key. It says Ansonia clock co. Also I think she may have repainted the face of the clock. Please help if you can! Thank you!

That's a nice clock. Thanks for sharing your family heirloom with us. American Clock manufacturers produced a lot of wood cased mantel clocks. Some of them were similar to yours. Can you give us any more information to go on? A winding key may or may not be original to the clock. I'll look in my Ansonia references but if I don't get back to you, that will mean that I didn't find a match and would appreciate any more information that you could provide to narrow down the search.

Sorry. I did not find any clocks like yours in my Ansonia references.

In order to help identify your clock, please provide the following:

Any and all information printed, stamped or labeled on the dial, movement, case, and pendulum. This includes names, trademarks, serial/model/patent numbers and dates.

Do you know often does it need to be re-wound? Once per day, once per week for example?

Measurements of the dial and case. Please take measurements at the longest, widest, and deepest points only.

Well lit photos of the entire case, with close-ups of the dial, movement and any distinctive decorative feature(s) or labels.

Taking the dial off to get a good look at the movement could be a little tricky if you're not so inclined to do so. Let's leave that as a last resort.

This information can be very helpful, but it still may not lead to a definitive model or date.

ill try and get some measurements. I do know that it needs to be wound once a day.
