Try to not get overly excited about this quarter. I have found the same thing and I was given the obvious answer had I thought about it. 1965 was the change over year from silver to clad. In the process of getting everything right there were coins both over and under weight. Still worth 25 cents though.
So your saying these are error ?
No, I never said the word error.
Will if a coins are not right size or weight, don't the mint take them out because if they go to the public don't they become error ? Also I read that the 25 cent Canada old quartes are 5.83 grams . They are 80% silver and 20% copper . This quarter have some ,what like other print on it, I try to get a few pictures of it. it's just kind of strange that the mint will let underweight and overweight quarters out to the public. Thank you for your input
