Damn.... Thought I had found a Knizek.... but found another Poschinger I think. Now a reduced enamel Poschinger is a find in itself, but not exactly what I thought this may have been. I knew the 8" height was a little on the big size for Knizek. The threads on this are of red glass, which is an indicator of Poschinger. Wonderful aged wear to the base. Thanks to Warren for his help in pointing me to a possible maker.
I include an image at #4 which shows this vase next to my only knizek - you can see how easy it is to be mistaken or not, as the case may be.
I'm still thinking Poschinger did it. Is there a reference to literature or a catalog?

though Knizek/Boudnik is known for smaller pieces, they produced larger ones, more then 15 cm high, too. See eg in 'Das Boehmische Glas' Vol IV pages 188-189 and examples in the Passau Glass Museum. This 'Pandora' glass technique was lateron often used by Goldberg, who bought glass blanks from various Bohemian manufactories. That Poschinger used this décoration type is very new for me and I would be interested in some reliable references.
Hi Guys, just for the record Warren didn't confirm the ID, merey suggested it could be Poschinger on the basis of size and threading, if you guys feel you could positively ID it as Knizek, then I would certainly be happy to accept your expert opinion on that. I would certainly like to encourage an open discussion on these type of pieces as so much is unclear on what helps to positively identify Knizek from other possible makers. I am new on CW and finds it so interesting! For example I saw your 2 vases here today and like them very much!
I am looking for info about Beyermann&Company and over the years I have been looking at glass to learn and have read names as Knizek, Boudnik and Pandora. And got confused many times because they all can look so similar to each other and also to some glass by Beyermann&Company.
I am curious; Have you succeeded to find out who the maker is ? / Marie
