I’m trying to find more information on my kutani tea set. Kutani doesn’t have any info about it themself but confirmed it was made by them. It had plum flowers, pine, bamboo, crane, and tortoise. It was from an estate sale, and I then got it from an antique shop. It only has a generic kutani mark on it.
Very nice set. Kutani is a style of Japanese pottery, not a company. See this site for more assistance: http://www.kutani.org/
@Congcu, I had spoken to someone from https://kutaniware.com/ and assumed it was a vender for the artists. I’ve looked at that site before trying to find anything close to this set but have had no luck so far, though I have been checking out a few sites and haven’t looked under their buying section
Check this out: https://www.etsy.com/listing/476634939/vintage-japanese-signed-kutani-hanazume?ref=market
Unfortunately, the link I sent previously does not show a Kutani set like yours. It has been sold and is no longer available for viewing.
Was it the same set? Or just similar. The link wasn’t archived on the way back machine but does still have hanazume, so if it’s the same or similar it might be helpful.
It was similar, not identical.
