Could you post a couple of pictures of those loops you’re asking about?

You can also see loops if you zoom up pic showing inside

      Thanks

Thanks for the extra pic. How many loops are there? Are they evenly spaced from each other?
If there are 3 or 4 evenly spaced, they likely are to hold short chains (just a few inches long) that would have suspended the shade below the ceiling fixture which held the light bulb(s).

size??? the loops would serve to connect chains for a hanging pendant light; there would also be a central shaft to support the weight of the shade.

I'm not a expert...but maybe those loops were once attached to chains .....it may have been once a hanging lamp........I have a vintage stained glass dragon shade that I post a few days ago....and it was converted to a hanging lamp ....but I believe it was originally a lamp......Very nice!

Loops are equally spaced and three in number, Lamp was purchased with “Bradley and Hubert “ lamp base with wrong finial. So I guess it’s a marriage

      Thanks
