For things like this, your best bet is to try Len Woods Indian Territory. They do free appraisals (I think it is 5 in total for the free ones) and they also do more intricate appraisals for a fee. If you contact them, put as much info about the item as possible and send pics that are include close up so they can see the weave. I thought it might be Alaskan Tsimshian but I cannot be sure. I do know that value is affected when there is damage (split in the weave, around the rim). Len Woods has helped me in the past. Good luck!

Spruce root Nootka, Tsimshian, Tlingit from oregon up to Alaska. A tourist piece and very damaged so of limited value. Here's a link showing close ups of the different types of twining. http://www.langleymuseum.org/baskets/pdfs/what-a-basket-holds11.pdf

Search Ebay for Nootka or Tlingit baskets, there's usually a few for sale.

Knifeguy is correct. I have gotten Tlingit, Tsimshian, Makah and Nootka all from Ebay. And I got them for much less than they are worth too. It is a good place but you do have to be careful. Alot of what is described as Native American basketry is really not.
