This trench art model plane has a 4 1/4" wingspan and a 3 1/2" fuselage.
The fuselage is constructed of a rifle casing and round. The rest is made from scrap brass and copper.
The detailing is precise and it is expertly crafted to the Nieuport 28.
The Nieuport 28 was introduced in 1918 and due to a French preference for the Spad, was passed on to the US squadrons. The Nieuport 28 was flown by the US 94th Squadron.
Several famous photographs of Captain Edward Rickenbacker show him posed in front of his Nieuport 28.
