Take a look at a second hand/ thrift store to get an idea on value.

It looks useful, but not a big ticket item.

It is an interesting desk with its unique shape, and looks like it is made of attractive wood/veneers too. Agreeing w/scott about its 'value' esp. given its kinda battered condition, but a gently done 're-finish' might help that a little. Make sure (if you haven't) to closely examine its undersides including the drawer to see if there are any markings on it to suggest anything further. :-)

I like it a lot due to the shape and style, but it would be a bit difficult to situate in a room due to the side doors. I found a couple of similar, but not identical, ones using a Google search. There are a couple of restorers whose videos I watch on YouTube would have this looking nice with a bit of work. My parents had several pieces of furniture in this style which had to date to the 1950s or 1960s.
