Egyptian revival scarab ring - I think!

I think this is an Egyptian revival arts and crafts scarab ring; I got it in New England in the 90s and my Egyptian History prof said the carvings on the back don’t actually say anything & some aren’t even correct/Egyptian. The jeweler I bought it from thought it might be amazonite. I’d love to learn more about it if anyone has any familiarity with this! I found some info online about Doris Cliff and Bernard Instine when I was searching for antique scarab rings that were a similar style but I don’t know how to tell if it’s made by either or just a random/generic ring? Thanks!!
