Jew or Jaw harp I believed that the right terminology. The harps are in nice condition and has a nice patina. I don't know how old the harps are or there existence. One harp is from the U.S. and the other harp is made in England. I don't have any idea on how to play these instruments or how it sounds.

This is one of the oldest instruments in the world and is thought to have come from Asia to Europe and then out to most parts of the world. It has mostly been used in folkmusic and in the middleages it was a typical instrument for people who begged for money by playing musik and by court Jespers. Later it got a better status in Austria and Hungary from what I can read online.

These are still made today and I don't think your Jaw harp is old. There seem to be some text on it, maybe that can give you information to search online for the maker?

Here is another song for you, also from Sweden. Barndance night it seems :) ha ha
Have always thought that the sound of the mungiga was very mystical and old.
