Here is a beautiful Sherman signed brooch, there are 3 large (open back) Oval clear rhinestones stones in the center, each Oval Stone has 7 marquise-cut stones accented by 5 small stones of varying sizes, the round stones are multi-pronged.
This information is close to the description that I read on a posting by PhilDMorris here on CW. PhilDMorris posted a piece exactly like this one only Phil's is black rhinestones. (Thank you Phil). ((I am not sure but I would be almost certain that my piece is also Japanned 1960.)) I am only guessing, based on the similarities. ?? This piece is not japanned - thanks Eileen!
Thank you Eileen. I have learned so much from you and your insights, and the other CW folks! Today I feel that I have made a step forward in my collection. Your input and knowledge shared are appreciated. And thanks for explaining Jappaned. Couldn't find that in any resource.
Superb Sherman brooch & your photos are wonderful, the lighting and different angles show the beauty of the icy rhinestone facets to the max, great job!
Almost identical to mine. I also thought I seen one similar or identical to yours somewhere this week. The backside of my large blk stones are flat and yours are shaped, which is the difference. The larger stones are the draw on your beautiful example, but overall is one of Sherman's more beautiful mid sized brooches. The Rhodium plating is more suitable to the white stones on yours. Very good find, did you find this in your home state ?
Thank you Phil, your comments mean so much - being the expert I look up too - this piece actually is from SW Florida. The price with shipping was just under $32. I was hoping the ad was correct but for that price I could resist. Seems I made a GREAT deal !
Thank you everyone for the kind words - all the love.

Yes, and you also have to realize that in the US canadian buyers cannot see the ad, as most sellers there forget to add Canada to buyers list. Very good buy.
