A curious little decorated and string-tied cardboard box measuring about 2-1/2" x 4", with an old timey handwritten label on its top reading those two words. What was inside...well, exactly what it says it is, I think?!! :-) ;-) :-)
Two sets of castanets, appearing to be made of black bakelite (?) and bearing the name "LUDWIG" (a noted manufacturer of percussion instruments for many many decades) on their respective halves. These do not appear to be toys. :-)
And a pair of what indeed look like they very probably are "toe taps", made to be affixed to the underside of a pair of shoes to tap dance. Or at least that's what they seem to be, I can't actually say I've ever seen a pair of tap shoes myself, nor whatever little attachments they get to do their job -- but it seems to make sense?? They are unmarked, probably made of cast aluminum, and showing wear strongly suggesting they have actually been well used in their past.
Look like old tap shoe attachments
